Abstract
Leadership research pertaining to the hospitality industry has been mostly focused on hierarchical models of leadership, overlooking collective forms of leadership, such as shared leadership. The extant hospitality literature has also been slow to explore the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence on organisational leadership. This systematic literature review aims to address this gap by shedding light on the link between shared leadership and AI adoption in the hospitality sector, uncovering gaps in research that may hinder the
progression of shared leadership as an approach in an increasingly AI-driven environment. The authors will offer research insights to propel critical thinking around shared leadership and its role in AI adoption and propose areas for future research.
