William Angliss Institute (WAI) is introducing a framework to guide understandings and practices of scholarship for both vocational and higher education teachers. This chapter explains the impetus for this initiative and outlines the development of the institute’s approach to scholarship with reference to the literature. A case study is presented, which investigates how the WAI Framework for Scholarly Practice was used to guide the authors in writing their chapters of this book. Based on their monthly reflections on their research and writing processes, the study explores how the authors engaged with the framework, how it facilitated their awareness and learning about scholarly practice, and the role that other forms of support played in assisting them to approach their research and writing in a scholarly manner. The study appears to indicate evidence of development in knowledge and practices of scholarship and a correlation between this development and the various forms of support offered to authors. The chapter concludes with observations about the framework’s potential for transformation in the vocational education and training (VET) sector workforce more broadly.en_US
