Abstract

Despite the growing research interest in hospitality and tourism online learning in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, studies are yet to explore the factors influencing students’ engagement with online learning tools and satisfaction with online learning. This quantitative study examines Australian, Chinese and South Korean students’ perceived factors on engagement with online learning tools, believed to influence the learning process and construction of knowledge. The study reveals the differences in responses between the students of the three countries and the influence of online learning tools engagement on the extent of their perceived satisfaction with online learning. The findings are expected to inform the instructional strategies motivating students to engage with online learning tools to deepen their learning and drive satisfaction with online learning.
