Abstract
Dramatic changes to Australia's food system are required to address concurrent issues of food insecurity and dietrelated non-communicable diseases, against the background of declining natural resources, biodiversity losses and climate change. Coordinated cross-sectoral action is required, including implementation of healthy public policy at all levels of government. This study analyses the scope of existing policy, regulatory and legislative frameworks within Australian local governments that
contribute to healthy, sustainable and equitable food systems.
