Managing festivals offers more than the triple bottom line impact to the host community. They contribute to understanding visitor trends and, when aligned with sustainable goals, they also consist of structured frameworks that help unpack complex issues. It is the aim of the book to present global cases that explain issues, ideas, concepts and theories based on conceptual frameworks. Further, each case study is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), which demonstrates an industry research informed approach in the effective management of the visitor economy. The link between theories and practice, and the style and language used, suggests that the book is an effective resource for event academics who plan to utilise case studies as part of their teaching; it is also a tool for industry practitioners who aim to understand a range of case studies in order to further their knowledge in the management of events.en_US
