| dc.description.abstract | This research paper examines how to combat academic integrity breaches by students in the higher education arena, contextualised in the Australian setting. The aim of the study is to provide reflections and understanding based on the author's experience of teaching in the events sector. Insights into a variety of authentic assessment strategies to deter and discourage poor scholarly practices will be deliberated. A review of a practical context will provide a range of effective authentic assessment tasks employed in the subject of delivery of a first year subject entitled, Event Design. | en_US |
