Abstract

This paper explores the rise of contract cheating via the purchase of an assessment task completed by a third-party contractor. The paper provides a discourse on what is contract cheating and a discussion which identifies a complex web of stakeholders. The piece proposes who should take responsibility for this phenomenon, whilst recommending strategies that can be utilised to contend with, and thus attempt to deter this serious and increasing breach of academic integrity values.
